We (5 undergraduate students at Olin College) are very interested in learning about independent and amateur filmmakers! As part of our collaborative design course, we're engaging with filmmakers to both learn about the experience and explore the human centered design process by talking with student, amateur, or independent filmmakers primarily in the greater Boston area.

We’d be very interested in all things related to how you make your films, from casting to production to audio, and the student perspective on filmmaking would give us some unique insight. We would love to ask you or any filmmakers you know questions in person and see what you do firsthand, ideally for about 60 minutes (but that timing is flexible). If we could potentially attend one of your group’s meetings, that would be wonderful, though we also understand if that wouldn’t work. If in person doesn’t work, calling online would still be hugely helpful.

As a side note, if you’re aware of any group members or contacts who might be interested in talking with us, we’d love to get their perspectives.
